“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you”
I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa in the middle of the apartheid era to an African Mum and Greek Father. I have a 22 year old daughter Pia, who is blind and mentally handicapped – the the result of being born three months premature. Pia is what motivates me to show up even when I don’t feel like it, strive to remain focused, grateful and grounded. I live and work in Europe and so lucky to have easy access to many fascinating cities – perfect for my vagabond shoes and passion for travel.
Through simple life style choices, I’ve found powerful ways to significantly improve my well being and happiness just when things seemed so terribly hopeless from drastically diminishing my daughter’s epilepsy and countless hospital stays, insomnia, clearing her poor skin, improving the quality of her eyes, to lifting my depression, chronic fatigue and attracting magical moments by breaking free from destructive mindsets that seemed to have me gridlocked. At heart, I am a writer and story teller and I use this space to document my life’s ride through the things that bring me bliss and awe namely photography, nature, travel, writing and sharing food choices that makes one feel buzzing with life and still tastes amazing because good does not have to taste bad! Hopefully some of my experiences resonate with someone out there and is of help regardless how small. I would love that.
